The Easiest Way to Meet Industry Pros and Collaborators at the Road Rally

Dear Road Rally Attendees,

The most frequently asked question we get from Road Rally first-timers is, “What’s the best way to meet industry people at the Rally?”

The easy answer is: Go to the Industry Eat & Greet Luncheons on Friday and Saturday!

You’ll get to meet at least 7 or 8 Mentors!

The Mentors rotate every 15 minutes, so you’ll get to speak with (and ask questions of) at least 7 (maybe 8) of these industry folks and successful TAXI members. The Mentors are Music Supervisors, TAXI A&R Team members, Music Library Executives, Artist Managers, Music Publishers, Successful TAXI Members, etc., etc., etc.

TAXI makes ZERO income on these luncheons.

The price you’ll pay is what the hotel charges us, so we have no profit motive for encouraging you to go! We just want you to have every opportunity to meet people who can help you move your career forward at a much faster pace!

“Can I give my music to the Mentors?”

Absolutely! They expect that you will! You can give a thumb drive or a business card with a QR code or link to your music! TAXI gives a nice cash prize to the Mentor who finds the best music, so they’re encouraged to take music and listen to it! While we can’t guarantee that giving your music to the mentors will result in a deal, getting signed, or a collaboration with an already successful TAXI member, anecdotally we can tell you that it happens quite often!

Should I go to one or both of the Eat & Greet Luncheons?

Every year, we get people who only signed up for the first luncheon asking if they can get a ticket for the second luncheon. Sadly, most of the tickets are sold before the Rally, so there are only a few (if any) left that you can purchase while at the Rally. It's best to get tickets for both days before you arrive!
