for a record deal and sync placements
Hey ,
Something most people don't know about TAXI is that chart-topping Jazz artist Lindsey Webster got her record deal because she submitted to a TAXI listing similar to the one you'll see below. It was a different record label, but it vwas a TAXI listing that got the ball rolling.
Who's Lindsey Webster? Here ya go...
She made history in 2016 with her song, “Fool Me Once,” which was the first vocal-driven #1 song to top the Billboard Contemporary Jazz chart since Sade’s “Soldier of Love” in 2010. And, she beat Sade’s three-week run at #1 with a four-week stay at the top of the charts. That same year, she was named Billboard’s #1 Contemporary Jazz Artist.
If you think TAXI only runs listings for film/TV music licensing opportunities, you're probably not paying attention to the opportunities that come from record labels nearly every week of the year.
BTW, the label you'll see in today's batch has signed an artist they found by using TAXI, but that wasn't a Jazz artist.
Here's what the industry's asking us for today. Do you have the styles they need?
Can you please reply and let us know if you're more interested in record deals or licensing your music for film and TV? Thanks!
Talk to you tomorrow,
Michael
